Tree House | CON-02

Located on the shores of Lago Puelo in Chubut, Argentina, this residence invites reflection on the relationship between human habitation and nature. Conceived as a retreat that encourages awareness and appreciation of the surrounding forest, the project seeks to emphasize the vital role of trees and ecosystems — especially in light of recent wildfires that have affected the region.
The design emerges from the juxtaposition of a plane and a volume, resulting in a simple yet expressive morphology that fosters dialogue between architecture and landscape. The composition creates fluid transitions between interior and exterior spaces, allowing residents to experience the forest through multiple perspectives and light conditions. Each space encourages a direct, sensory engagement with the natural environment.
The project’s guiding principle is to create a constant dialogue between the built and the natural world. Multiple open-air and semi-covered areas are integrated into the dwelling, promoting outdoor living while maintaining comfort and functionality. Through this approach, the house becomes both a shelter and an experience — a place where one can inhabit nature without leaving behind the comforts of a contemporary home.
