Apartment renewal focused on rethinking space and light. The project introduces an exterior patio as the central piece, creating a new relationship with the outdoors where only walls existed before. A new open layout responds to contemporary needs, improving circulation and natural light, while a warm, calm palette enhances spatial continuity and comfort.
The starting point was a compartmentalized apartment, with small rooms and little relationship between them. The intervention removed unnecessary partitions to bring the living, dining and kitchen areas together into one continuous space, organized around a storage core that separates without closing off and structures movement through the home.
The patio becomes the heart of the project: a vertical garden turns it into a green extension of the interior, visible from almost every room through large glazed openings. Light entering through this new void travels across the plan throughout the day and completely changes how the scale of the apartment is perceived.
Natural wood floors, light-toned walls and simple custom joinery provide storage without interrupting visual continuity. The kitchen blends into the living space with flush fronts and a clear countertop, while the bedroom and bathroom follow the same logic of warm materials and precise details. The result shows how, even in a small footprint, spatial clarity and light can completely redefine the way a home is lived in.
